Hilton

McConnico

Hilton McConnico was born in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He was a painter, stylist, decorator, photographer, scenographer, director, and designer. He lived and worked in Paris since 1965. After several years of fashion design, he turned to cinema and received in 1983 a Caesar for best decor for “The moon in the gutter” by J-J Beineix. In 1985, his famous “Cactus” Collection, created for DAUM, was bought by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris and the New York Corning Museum. He also designed the scenography for many exhibitions, notably for Hermès. As an interior architect, he created three restaurants – Toupary, Sand's, La Samaritaine – in 1994. Following this prolific period, Hilton McConnico created a mosaic-tile collection for CAROCIM.
