Baptiste

Vandaele

Baptiste Vandaele is a designer, graphic designer, and illustrator from the Alsace region of France, who is now based in Paris, France. He graduated from Beaux-Arts de Nancy (Fine Arts) in 2012. His work explores pattern making without limit to his types of canvas: he uses wallpaper, rug, carpet, ceramic, etc. Modularity and playfulness occupy an important place, as shown through the cement tile collections he has developed for CAROCIM, which offer countless graphic and pattern options. He has been collaborating since 2017 with the Mama Shelter hotel chain, where his creations adorn floors and walls in Paris, Lisbon, Prague, Belgrade, Luxembourg, Rome, and more. In 2018, he founded his brand of hand-made and painted tableware alongside three Czech friends – Burning For – promoting traditional know-how through contemporary design research.
