Bathroom floor

Bathroom floors are subject to heavy use, or dare we say abuse? Here are just a few we can think of: Kids walking on the wet floor with shoes, dirty feet before getting in the shower, or clean but wet feet getting out of the shower, water splashes, soap and shampoo projections, lotion stains, nail polish and nail polish remover spills…

Upgrade your Bathroom Floor with Cement Tiles

Bathroom floors endure many demands, not to mention children who love to walk in wet bathrooms (yes, we have the same experiences). We can list a range of challenges they face: dirty feet before entering the shower, or clean but wet feet when exiting, splashes of water, soap, shampoo, not to mention drops of beauty cream, nail polish, or nail polish remover... In short, the bathroom floor must withstand all of these without becoming slippery (unless you're an ice skater). Cement floor tiles are the ideal answer to these challenges. Cement tiles are hydrophobic, soft, and naturally non-slip due to their textured surface. In addition to their technical qualities, they are also decorative. If your home has a classic and traditional style, prefer our historical patterns or solid-colored tiles. If you are more avant-garde, choose models from our designers and mix them for an explosion of patterns and colors. Likewise, if you prefer an evening shower before bed, opt for soft and relaxing colors. Are you not fully awake in the morning until you've taken a shower? Choose vibrant colors! Also, adjust the lighting accordingly: soft and warm for a relaxing evening shower, strong and cool for a refreshing morning shower. Finally, be mindful of the shadows when installing the lighting, which should always be complemented by a wall sconce placed between the mirror and yourself. Cement floor tiles in the bathroom: an easy alliance

As a natural product, cement tiles blend well with other materials. Among these, we can mention microcement, which, with its uniform color, balances the tile patterns for a lighter room. Another option for the floor that we particularly like is the combination of Carocim tiles and wood flooring (for the bathroom, don't forget to choose wood suitable for wet rooms, usually an exotic species). Finally, you can repeat the tile pattern on the countertop or mix it with any other natural stone or wood surface.

Installation and treatment of cement floor tiles in the bathroom

Finally, as the bathroom is classified as a humid room, we can only advise you to:

  • carefully read our installation instructions (and of course, follow them after reading),
  • avoid using wax as a protective coating to maintain the non-slip properties of the tiles,
  • treat your tiles with our specific products,
  • be cautious with all indiscriminately used anticalc products in bathrooms, as they can damage our tiles.

When properly installed and treated, a simple cloth and mild soap are sufficient to maintain the tiles for many years.

Cement tiles are an excellent option for bathroom floors. They are easy to clean and resistant to moisture, making them perfect for this room in the house.

Additionally, they have a chic and elegant look that can transform an ordinary bathroom into a centerpiece of your home and interior decor.

In the Carocim model catalogs, there is a multitude of designs and colors available. This allows you to create a unique look for your bathroom. You can choose colorful tiles or opt for more subdued tones, depending on the style and ambiance you want to create. Our cement tiles come in a beautiful variety of sizes and shapes, which means you can create endless patterns and visual effects on your floor.

Once your cement tiles are in place on the bathroom floor, take the time to regularly clean your floor to keep it beautiful and in good condition.
